We have now wrapped up the 2022-2023 school year - congratulations to our students who have finished the year! To our graduating class of 2023, we wish you all the best in all that lies ahead.
A few reminders pertinent to summer that were previously sent out on June 23 are included below.
On behalf of the SRB Staff, I wanted to wish you and your families a wonderful summer break. We will be in touch in late August for returning SRB Students. Stay cool and safe this summer and enjoy the downtime!

Report Cards
Intermediate (Grade 7-8 Report cards) were e-mailed on June 28
Secondary (Grade 9-12 Report cards) will be e-mailed to students and parents on Thursday July 6.
To access the report card, enter your Ontario Education Number (OEN) in this format: XXX-XXX-XXX. The OEN can be found on a previous report card. If you need assistance, please contact the main office. Please get this information in advance if you do not have it.
Return of SRB School Materials (Chromebooks, Textbooks, Sports Jerseys, Library Books, etc.) - if you find anything at home etc, please return it to the school main office as soon as possible. Any outstanding liabilities may occur a replacement cost.
Community Service/Volunteer Hours
A reminder that SUMMER is an excellent time for students to complete their 40 hours of Community Involvement. Any student is eligible to begin working on this high school graduation requirement after completion of Grade 8! This means incoming grade 9 students can start now. More information is on the guidance website.
Google Accounts for Graduating Students/Students Leaving the School District
If you are graduating or leaving the OCDSB, be sure to save any documents you want to keep from your Google account to a personal account. Students will not be able to access their Google account, including files and emails, once they leave the district. Accounts will be closed as of August 8, 2023 for students graduating or leaving the district.
Graduating Students
Diploma Packages (Diploma, Transcript, Certificates, Grad Composite, etc.) will be available for pickup on July 4-7 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
SRB Office Summer Hours
SRB will be a Summer School location. The school is not open for SRB students during the summer unless they are attending/enrolled in SRB summer school.
SRB is private property (including outdoor areas surrounding the school and courts) - students need to remain off property outside of regular school hours.
The SRB Main Office will be open for inquiries July 4-21.
The School will be closed for the OCDSB Summer Shutdown July 31-August 18.
The school's main office will re-open on August 21. Please call the school by phone 613-829-5320 should you need assistance.
School Startup 2023-2024
SRB will be in communication with parents/students the week of August 28 for school startup information.
The first day of school for all students is Tuesday September 5.
Students will not receive their timetable until the first day of school
Lockers: Returning SRB students need to keep their locks so that they can be used for next year. Locker assignments will be assigned by grade area and will be given out on the first day of school in homeroom/period 1 classes, not before hand. Students may now purchase their own combination locks (no key locks allowed); alternatively replacement locks will be for sale in the main office for $5.
