Virtual Commencement Ceremonies for 2020 Grads

SRB is currently planning a video Commencement, to be released on December 10. The video will remain available until mid-January for students/families so that flexible plans can be made to be together virtually/in-person to celebrate. We are in the process of getting a mail list to communicate directly with 2020 graduates. We will also update our graduates/families on the process of diploma/certificate distribution. More information to come. Thank you for your patience - we look forward to continuing to celebrate the graduates of 2020.

SRB will be holding virtual and phone parent teacher interviews this Thursday October 22 and Tuesday October 27. Teachers will have individualized schedules on one/both of these dates. Given the fast pace of the quadmester, we will need to prioritize families with specific questions/concerns about their child's progress.

Rainbow Youth Club 2020

Dear Grade 7 & 8 Parents and Guardians, Matt Gagnier, our new principal, did recently send out a welcome back letter regarding information for grades 7-12; however, I thought I might take this opportunity to share information specifically for intermediate students. I know this has been a challenging year and many parents and students are anxious about our new learning environment. Our staff are in the building and eager to reunite our SRB community. We are excited to see our students and provide the best possible school experience given our new “normal”.

Secondary In-Person Learning Schedule

Students will be divided into two cohorts and will attend school in person on alternating days. Using the quadmester model, students will take two courses at a time. In the first week, students will learn Course 1 during all of their in person learning blocks and in the second week, they will learn Course 2. For example, if students take math and geography, the in class instruction for all of the first week will be math and the following week it will be geography.

Online Report Cards - Register today!

Report cards will be available to parents on June 24, 2020 for elementary students and July 3, 2020, for secondary students through a new secure online Report Card Portal. Parents will be able to login and see their child’s report card. In order to access report cards, you must register online by June 24, 2020.

Pink Shirt Day - February 26

Pink Shirt Day is being recognized on February 26th, 2020. Don't have pink? No problem! Bring in any shirt from home and choose one of the screen printing designs created by the grade 12 art class. Then come in to screenprint that design on your shirt. Join us in wearing pink and standing together against bullying in schools, in the workplace, and online.
