Intermediate Ringette, Girls Hockey and Boys Hockey Teams - A Success Story!

Over the past month, SRB has been lucky to have its Intermediate Ringette team, Girls Hockey team, and Boys Tier 1 Hockey team all participate in fun all-day tournaments. The Boys Tier 2 Hockey team also enjoyed a game against Frank Ryan. In every instance, our students proved to be exemplary ambassadors for our school, demonstrating impressive teamwork, skill and a genuine love for the game.
These events were particularly impactful for students new to hockey and ringette, providing a unique opportunity to learn and grow alongside their friends. This experience was made possible by the incredible generosity of our SRB families, who donated much-needed equipment. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Ottawa Nepean Canadians Sports Club, whose generous cash donation covered the remaining equipment costs and team fees, facilitated by SRB parent Adam Tubman.
A special acknowledgment goes to our dedicated Grade 8 students, whose leadership on and off the ice was instrumental in organizing and guiding the teams. We also recognize the invaluable contribution of our parent volunteers, whose coaching and training expertise ensured a successful and enjoyable experience for all. The players are now energized and eager to continue their momentum throughout the remainder of the season and into the next. Finally, we thank the SRB administration for their unwavering support in providing these enriching athletic opportunities.
Thank you,
Coach Wilson
